Nuvve is looking for an experienced Data Analyst to support the engineering and software development team with reports, analytics and visualizations to make quality, data-driven decisions. The Analyst will use advanced data modeling, predictive modeling, and analytical techniques to interpret Nuvve’s dataset. We are looking for a driven, data-loving team player that will jump in and thrive in a startup environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, maintain and optimize databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize data efficiency and quality.
  • Use data scrubbing tools or create scripts to systematically examine data for flaws to locate and correct code problems to improve data quality.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Use existing products and frameworks or create custom tools to visualize data set to help business and engineering teams to interpret operational and strategic data to identify inefficiencies, errors and to improve business, engineering and software development processes.
  • Assure compliance with regulatory, security, and privacy requirements as it relates to data assets.
  • Work with management to prioritize business and engineering needs, locate and define new process improvement opportunities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of Data Science/Analytics experience defining and analyzing large datasets using technologies like SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Julia, Spark, Stata, D3, Redash, etc.
  • Experience working with large / diverse data sets, ETL, data cleaning and transformation experience.
  • Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark Streaming, Spark Mllib, Cassandra, HDFS, MongoDB, InfluxDB etc.
  • Advanced SQL skills and proficiency in Python, R, or equivalent.
  • Experience with Python, Java, C and/or‌* * C\+\+ for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Experience in combinatorial optimization and numerical analysis.
  • Familiar with object-oriented software development.
  • Familiar with Software design, Agile engineering and development, including familiarity with modern software development practices and tools.
  • Experience in scripting for automation on Linux.
  • Ability to facilitate experimentation and conduct experiment analysis.
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical discipline or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Experience sharing data with both technical and non-technical audiences, turning data into a story/visualization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent analytical, statistical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

  • Advanced degree in computer science, computer engineering, data science, electrical engineering, Math, Physics or similar disciplines, plus five or more years experience.
  • Experience building dashboards and visualizations in Tableau, or ability to quickly get up to speed.
  • Experience with large, complex scientific and technical software systems engineering, development and deployment.
  • Knowledge or Hands-on experiences in Caffe, Tensorflow, Torch, and/or Microsoft Cognitive Toolkit/CNTK.
  • Knowledge of distributed machine learning, unsupervised deep learning/neural networks.

Nuvve is looking for a strong Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to add to our team who will contribute significantly to our technology architecture evolution. This position, based out of our HQ in San Diego, requires extraordinary attention to detail, organization, engineering background and relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage QA processes for Nuvve’s hardware and software products.
  • Develop, write and manage the execution of an overall hardware and software test strategy.
  • Create regular reports on QA metrics including QA test case coverage.
  • Write and maintain documents of test plans, cases, and coverage for Nuvve products including GIVe Aggregator and PowerPort Charger and all of its internal components.
  • Hands-on testing and verification of the quality of Nuvve products, including detailed documents of test coverage and results.
  • Develop and maintain tools and automation frameworks to allow quick regression testing of products under a variety of scenarios.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer of University of Delaware hardware designs and embedded software IP to Nuvve.
  • Work with development and support groups to deliver high-quality products per schedule.
  • Manage software and hardware engineers for product documentation.
  • Manage verification and validation of commercial products for certification and compliance testing (e.g. UL, CE, etc).
  • Propose and advocate product features and processes that improve testability and quality.
  • Manage the QA team and related resources.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

  • 10+ years of QA or development experience with complex hardware and software stacks.
  • High degree of analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Linux, networking, scripting (bash, python, etc.).
  • Proficiency with development and validation of commercial electronics product.
  • BS degree (or higher) in Engineering.
  • Experience with QA automation, especially with large scale system testing.

  • Experience managing distributed teams.
  • Experience with utilities, energy, and EV markets a plus.
  • Advanced degree in Engineering.
