WHAT IS LOW CARBON FUEL STANDARD (LCFS)?

The Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) is a program created by the California Air Resources Board (ARB). The goal of the program is to lower the carbon intensity of transportation fuels. Many fuels (biofuels, CNG, electricity) are eligible.

If EV charging equipment and energy consumption are registered, tracked, and certified, the credits generated can be sold on an open market.

Nuvve can monetize the credits as a registered aggregator with ARB and can perform the administrative and transaction requirements.
